The Pursgloves of Barlborough - [BARL]

Barlborough  is a village and civil parish in the Bolsover district of Derbyshire.  It predates the Norman Conquest, known as Barleburh in AD1000.  It started as a small agricultural community.  The later post-Norman village was developed around the parish church of St James.

The village has been bisected by the M1 motorway and it is now a dormitory village for the surrounding area.
